The BABOR BEAUTY CLUSTER is a modern and sustainable production and logistics site of the BABOR BEAUTY GROUP.
The complex was planned on a former spoil heap in the Rhenish lignite mining area. The spoil soil and the location in an earthquake zone level 3 presented special challenges to the planners, which were overcome by special constructions such as construction joints and pile foundations.
The building complex, approximately 108 x 216 meters in size, consists of a nearly 18.6-meter-high, two-story logistics hall, a two-part production hall approximately 8.70 meters high, and an organic head building. All buildings meet the KfW 40 energy efficiency standard.
On an area of 60,000 square meters, the cluster accommodates up to 50 filling and commissioning lines, as well as a global distribution center with efficient logistics and modern shuttle warehouses. More than 300 employees enjoy ergonomic workstations and the convenience of driverless vehicles. A bridge spanning the site connects the Beauty Cluster with an adjacent existing logistics hall.
The modern, distinctive head building, featuring an impressive reception area and employee restaurant, is the highlight of the Beauty Cluster. Floor-to-ceiling curved glass gives the interior spaces a special atmosphere.
